Steel Plate Match and 3 Gun Practice

Sign up for BGM E-mail Updates

Don’t forget that this Saturday we have the Pistol Steel Plate Match at Pleasant Grove FOP. In addition to the steel plate match we will be having a 3 Gun Practice. We plan to run a couple different style stages with walls, steel plates, sporting clays, and silhouette targets. We may also have a couple swingers in place. The swingers will be on loan form Lee Knobloch.

Lee has been kind enough to grant us use of his personal swingers. Lee is a fantastic pistol competitor and if you ever want to know something about shooting or just want to chat give him a call over at the FOP range, 205.744.2600.

Hopefully the weather will be good. We always go even in inclimate weather. It adds to practical action of the the shoot. Check the weather.

Bullet Serialization in AL

Back in April we posted about the possibility of Bullet Serialization. We are happy to report that action was not taken on it. We are unsure if it was not voted on or had an up or down vote. Regardless the legislative session is over and that means the bill is no longer.

If we have any new information come up we will keep you posted.

Shooters are Unorganized

Where is the master list for shooting competition schdules? We have to yet find any central location for a Match schedule. We have an event calender for our team but where is the master list for Competitions?

Since we can’t find one you are more than welcome to contact us to add an event to our calender and we would be happy to promote it with a blog post. Somebody could make promoting shooting a lot easier with a website and official calender. Of course to do that they would need to take the bureaucracy out of getting added to the schedule.

We are installing and working on a new calender application. Following post will detail the requirements needed to post to the calender.
